7 ideas to make the most of your Easter marketing

When you think of seasonal marketing, often people think of Christmas or Halloween, but Easter is often left behind.

Easter is a great opportunity to think of ideas that your competitors haven’t, and to take advantage of a holiday season they might not. So we have come up with some ideas to inspire you ahead of Easter.

So let’s get started!

Idea 1

Write a blog with a fun easter spin, but keep it relevant to your target audience. If your target audience are likely to be parents, maybe create a list of places to keep their children entertained in the holidays. If your target audience are avid drivers, create a top 10 list of best countryside drives in the Spring. Create content that will interest your audience and that will trend because it’s seasonal. Bonus points for sharing it on your social media.

Caption competition

Idea 2

Start a user-generated content campaign on social media. An image or caption competition can be great to generate content for days to come. It can also create quite a buzz, as it will be unique and authentic content from your followers.

Easter Sale

Idea 3

Share seasonal offers – do you have a product or service that expires in the Summer? Or would you like to garner more customer loyalty? Consider a seasonal sale, offer or discount. This is great for getting rid of products that won’t serve you later in the year. It will also make your customers feel like they are getting an exclusive deal or offer. This can be done via website pop-ups, email marketing, social media or all three.

Idea 4

Give customers an insight – show people an inside look into your business in Easter, especially if it is a significant time for you. For example, if you’re a card-making company, film your employees in the factory making the cards. It adds a level of humanity to your business and helps people buy into your products.

Idea 5

Use multiple events together – if you know that Easter and wedding season is coming up, combine the two and promote wedding guest dresses in Easter-themed colours on social media, such as duck egg blue and eggshell cream. Get your followers to vote for their favourites. You could even collaborate with other companies to create a special Easter service or product.

IG post easter offer

Idea 6

Be giving – Easter is a charitable time after all, why not give something away? It could be a competition, or even a small gift for your loyal customers. Short on budget? Just send a ‘Happy Easter’ email or post a cute ‘Happy Easter’ video. Let your customers know you’re thinking of them this weekend.

Idea 7

Hold an event. If you are a brick-and-mortar or online company, you can hold an event such as an Easter Egg hunt. This can be useful for businesses that want to be seen as family-friendly. For example, if you’re financial planners, you could organise an Easter Egg hunt in your local park, with people gathering eggs with your business name on, painted in your business brand colours.

Whatever kind of business you have, we hope these seven ideas have inspired you to take advantage of Easter to build your customer base, loyalty or just make your customers happy!
