This International Day of Charity is a time for us to reflect on and celebrate the fantastic charities that Brace supports and the amazing teams we work with as part of our fundraising efforts and how we assist them with their digital presence. Each and every year we make it our mission to get behind local and national charities that support our values of community spirit, togetherness and making a change for good – no matter how big or small that may be.
In previous years we have collaborated with the likes of Hope for Tomorrow and the Pied Piper Appeal, have been involved with CCP’s Christmas Hamper Scamper, made donations to Longhope and carried out wingwalks and fire walks.
Our most successful fundraising event to date has been our charity Golf Days in 2021 and 2022 where we raised £18,426.50 where we experienced so much support from the Gloucestershire Business Community. As our first major events held after the pandemic we received much generosity in terms of prizes and kind donations. Since then our fundraising total has exceeded tens of thousands of pounds made possible through the incredible dedication of Brace employees from every department who go above and beyond to make a difference and our donors who we are always grateful.
For 2024 we have been supporting Linc and Blesma. Firstly, we were approached by Linc last year to completely rebrand the charity with a new look and new website which was successfully launched earlier this year. Linc is dedicated to supporting blood cancer patients and their families across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and South Worcestershire. Linc delivers lasting relationships that put the patient and their families at the heart of what they deliver every single day which is why Brace feel very humbled to be able to fundraise for Linc and take part in their events throughout the year such as their recent Polo Day and Golf Day.
Our second chosen charity is Blesma, The Limbless Veterans Charity. Our Directors Nick and Mitch both grew up in a military environment, Nick is an Army veteran himself, therefore Blesma was an instant decision for Brace as an armed forces charity to partner with. They are dedicated to assisting serving personnel and ex-service men and women who have suffered limb loss or the use of a limb, an eye or loss of sight. We’ve been kindly invited to events at The Tower of London as well as The Royal International Air Tattoo to be part of their fundraising and raise awareness of the incredible work that they do.
Throughout the years, Brace has been passionate about our work with charities across Gloucestershire. This International Day of Charity we look forward to working with both Linc and Blesma even more in the future and fundraising for two great causes.
